Music tells stories, weaves cultures, and transcends the boundaries of time and space.
What happens when Europe’s musical heritage risks being lost or remains inaccessible? Polifonia was created to address this challenge, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. The project aims to rediscover and preserve the musical richness of the past—from ancient Italian bells to French influences in traditional Dutch music—creating unexpected connections across eras and traditions.
We helped make this journey even more engaging and accessible, supporting Polifonia with innovative digital strategies. Through interactive tools and a tailor-made digital ecosystem, the project now provides researchers, academics, and cultural institutions with new ways to explore, analyze, and enhance Europe’s sound heritage.
For the Polifonia project, we developed an integrated communication strategy spanning the full 48-month cycle, defining a coherent visual identity and producing all communication materials.
We designed and built the official website, managed social channels, and curated monthly newsletters to ensure continuous audience engagement. As a special activation, we transformed the project’s results into an interactive and immersive installation, hosted for a month in the Music Hall of the Bologna City Council at Sala Borsa.
At the same time, we monitored key communication KPIs, analyzing web traffic, social interactions, and digital performance, providing detailed quarterly reports to track progress and optimize ongoing strategies.
